Barend van Deelen (NL)

B Barend van Deelen fell in love with radio in 1998 during the world cup in France when football matches were reported live on Dutch national radio. He started listening radio on a daily base and Barend started to dream: he wanted to become a radio host himself. Nowadays his dream has come true: Barend works for NPO 3FM where he hosts 3 show. One with his buddy Wijnand Speelman, the national Music Chart called ‘Mega Top 50’ and a sunday afternoon show called ‘Barend’. Besides playing music on the radio he loves to see artists perform live. Defqon 1, Awakenings, Reverse, Decibel, Lowlands, Pinkpop, Bungalup and a bunch of concerts make sure he gets his well needed dose of live music.
