In the eclectic, fast-paced world of electronic dance music, it is near-impossible to distinguish and brand oneself uniquely – and be recognized for possessing true talent. New York City’s Ares Carter is one of the few individuals that have successfully risen above the masses, embedding himself distinctively into the vibrant modern-day electronic music culture. Commencing his auspicious career at the sterling age of 14 years, Ares took naturally to the decks as a DJ, displaying an innate knowledge of what makes the dancefloor tick. Years of dedication and strong work ethic transformed the young Ares Carter into a highly adept DJ, capable of seducing any crowd to their feet. Possessing a keen ear for melodies and an instinctive ability to fuse together elements from various styles of music, Ares Carter then proceeded to set his sights on music production, taking his raw talent and proficiency from behind the decks and into the studio. The next few years witnessed Ares open up for the likes of Bruno Mars, Wiz Khalifa, Porter Robinson, Hardwell, Kygo, and Martin Garrix, amongst various other influential acts. In 2014, Ares Carter made his debut on Armada with his breakthrough progressive house single “Step Into Your Light”, which racked up millions of streams within weeks of its release. Produced alongside Revealed Recordings signee Joey Dale, “Step Into Your Light” was put on rotation by the likes of Tritonal, Afrojack, Firebeatz, Blasterjaxx, and many others. Carter's other work has made it into DJ sets around the world from Gareth Emery, Chuckie, Carta, and many more. His music was additionally featured by major media outlets such as Proximity and Billboard. Later that year Ares went on tour as the official DJ for ILoveMakonnen, making appearances across the globe alongside the international pop/hip-hop sensation. In 2015, Ares Carter took the stage at the renowned Electric Zoo Festival in New York City, playing beside the likes of Thomas Jack and more. Since then, Ares has set his sights on taking his production prowess and musical approach to a new dimension, currently studying at the esteemed Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU. Maturing and growing exponentially as both an artist and a performer throughout the years, this bright young talent is fully equipped with an intense drive and passion to excel. This determination has allowed Ares to steadily forge his way through a rapidly evolving scene, and on the road to stardom.
