Alvaro Prol (CA)

Alvaro Prol, owner of Blueprint, has established himself in his 19 year history as the industry leader in promoting events and talent buying in Canada. Planting his roots early on as a regular club-goer with a passion for music and artistic talent, Prol quickly developed the desire to foster and support emerging talent and diverse genres of electronic music. In 1997 Prol launched Blueprint Events and has since grown to push the boundaries of Western Canada’s entertainment scene. Among his career milestones, Prol has spearheaded several record-breaking events, including 60 and counting arena and stadium shows. During the 2010 Olympics, Blueprint hosted a furious 27 music events in 17 days. In 2012, Prol launched CONTACT Winter Music Festival at BC Place, the largest dance music festival on the west coast, which has grown to span over two nights and now culminates in 36,000 eager attendees. After a long strategic partnership with The Adelphia Management Group, in 2013 Blueprint merged with the organization to become ‘This is Blueprint’, BC’s primary entertainment, events and lifestyle powerhouse. In 2014 Blueprint expanded even more, adding Calgary, Edmonton, and interior BC as show markets. Along with Prol’s expertise, Blueprint and its partners own and operate 12 businesses including 5 nightclubs, 4 bars, and 3 liquor stores, in addition to running a music department of 5 talent buyers driven to execute over 600 concerts a year.
