Alexandre Mahout (FR)
From French radio Nova to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Alexandre Mahout realized that the skills he might have would better be used with musicians rather than as a musician. He then worked at Warner Music on Brad Mehldau and Bebel Gilberto’s albums for 2 years.
After joining French director Luc Besson’s studio EuropaCorp in 2006, he ran its music subsidiary from 2011 to 2019, where he produced soundtracks for over a hundred movies and a dozen of albums. Blockbuster’s scores such as Taken 1, 2 & 3, Lucy (starring Scarlett Johansson) or the Transporter series have been produced through his department. Alexandre collaborated then with bands like Massive Attack, Archive, Birdy Nam Nam or artists such as Pharrell Williams and music producer duo Stargate.
Lately, Alexandre has become Head of Repertoire at French collecting society SACEM, where he manages services and relationship with members.
