Lanny May is a DJ and musican who loves to experiment with electronic music. He has been producing electronic indie music for 8 years and DJing since 1996. He has produced a lot of remixes for artists like Minilogue, Sasha, Umek, Matthys and Spada and always he delivered his listeners, what can only be described, as an exquisite and varying platter of audible proportions.Lanny May provides the prototypes for the imitators, and maintains the missing elements of one’s playlist. When he’s not working on music, he explores the possibilities of how to make his performances more special. So, he built his own MIDI controller and continually works on the future of DJing. On his own Label Maripoza Rec. he released future-thinking unknown Artists from around the World and every song is an unique love. As one of the 14 finalists in Sasha‘s ‘Cut Me Down’ remix contest (sponsored by Burn Studios and Beatport), Berlin genius Lanny May is quickly establishing himself as one to watch. Together with former production partner Ryan Davis , Lanny’s music has been signed to prestigious labels such as Parquet, Manual Music, Natura Sonoris, and Proton Music. His tracks have been played by Sasha, John Digweed, James Holden, Dave Seeman, Way Out West, Ramon Tapia, Moonbeam, Henry Saiz, Tiga, Carl Cox, Umek, Funk D’void, and many more.
